Privacy policy

This policy covers the invitation-only, personal Adoptly texting prototype. It does not cover MaeDay Rescue’s own website or services.

Information used in the pilot

The pilot owner uses the email address and mobile number you provide, your invitation and consent records, and phone verification information to confirm your participation. Once texting is enabled, Adoptly also uses message content, timestamps, routing details, delivery status and opt-out records to keep the conversation together and troubleshoot delivery.

This information is used to operate the pilot, answer support requests, document permission to send messages and honor opt-outs. Browsing these static information pages does not subscribe you to texts. Hosting providers may process routine connection information to serve and protect the pages.

Who can see the information

The pilot owner and the other authorized participant can see the messages exchanged in their pilot conversation. The pilot uses Twilio for text delivery and Cloudflare and Supabase for the application and stored records. Emailing the owner uses their Gmail inbox. These providers process information needed to supply those services.

Mobile information and SMS opt-in or consent records are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Consent is not transferred to another messaging program. Providers may process this information only as needed to operate and support the pilot, or where disclosure is required by law.

Keeping and removing records

Pilot records are kept while needed to operate the test, resolve support or delivery issues, and document consent and opt-outs. Opting out stops further conversational texts; it does not automatically erase the conversation or consent record. You can request access, correction or deletion by emailing the owner. The owner will explain any records that must be retained and any provider retention limits.

Your choices

Participation is voluntary. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts, or email the owner to withdraw consent. Reply HELP for support. This pilot is for fictional test conversations; do not send sensitive personal records or medical documents through SMS.
