Texting terms

An invitation-only test for one administrator and one consenting foster/tester.

The program

The Adoptly texting pilot is a personal prototype for two-way foster care questions, placement updates and pickup coordination. It will relay messages between the two participants’ phones and save them in their private Adoptly conversation. It is not MaeDay Rescue’s official messaging service and does not enroll anyone in marketing or fundraising.

Joining is optional

Only invited participants who explicitly agree to receive pilot texts and verify their phone ownership will be enabled. Review the enrollment instructions before agreeing. Consent is not required to adopt, foster, make a purchase or use an unrelated service. Providing an address, visiting a page or seeing a demo does not give SMS consent.

Frequency and cost

Messages are recurring and their frequency varies with the conversation. Message and data rates may apply through your mobile carrier. The pilot owner does not charge participants a subscription fee.

Stopping messages and getting help

Reply STOP to cancel pilot texts. You may receive a final confirmation of the opt-out; further conversational texts will stop. You can also withdraw consent by emailing heiting.anne@gmail.com.

Reply HELP for assistance, or email heiting.anne@gmail.com. If you change or lose access to your mobile number, tell the owner before continuing the pilot.

A test, not an emergency channel

The prototype may be unavailable or messages may be delayed. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Use fictional details for testing. Do not rely on the pilot for urgent animal care, emergencies or medical advice, and do not send private medical files by SMS.

Privacy

Read the Privacy policy for what the pilot collects, who receives it, retention and your choices. Mobile information and SMS consent are not sold or shared for third-party marketing or promotional use.
